A challenge athletes remember —
not another newsletter
Run a challenge for runners, cyclists and triathletes on PaceTrack — built on real training data, real progress, and a live leaderboard, not a check-the-box form.
Talk about your challenge
A discount or a banner lives for one click. A challenge lives for weeks — an athlete sees your brand every time they open their training calendar, every time they check the leaderboard, every time they get a "12 km to the finish" notification. It's not a one-off contact, it's a companion to a real human effort — and the association with that effort carries over to whoever organized it.
What is PaceTrack
PaceTrack is a platform for coaches and athletes in running, cycling, triathlon and cross-country skiing: training plans, syncing with Garmin, Polar, Wahoo, Suunto, COROS and other services, workout analysis and training-process analytics. The people on the platform aren't random followers — they actually train: every challenge is scored from workouts that already landed in a participant's account — real kilometers from a watch, not self-reported numbers.
A palette of formats
Individual — volume and progress
Month-long distance challenge
Participants add up kilometers or elevation gain over a period. A clear goal, visible progress every day — threshold prizes (voucher / merch / grand prize) map easily onto any product line.
Elevation king/queen
Total elevation gain over a period (running and cycling combined) — a direct fit for mountain and trail gear brands.
Virtual route
"Run the Trans-Siberian", "Moscow to Vladivostok" — a team virtually travels a real route, kilometers turn into movement on a map. Ready-made viral content for social media.
Global one-day run
Everyone starts at the same local time in their own time zone. Maximum reach for the smallest prize budget — the cheapest entry point into sponsorship.
Multisport week
A single weighted score combining running, cycling and swimming for the week. A premium audience segment — multisport athletes and triathletes.
Competitive and technical
Virtual race 5K / 10K / 21.1K / 42.2K
Distance in a fixed time window, fair ranking across genders and age groups. A medal and certificate — a physical artifact for co-branding.
Even pace
The winner isn't the fastest — it's whoever has the smallest pace variation. A great "the slow beats the fast" story that goes viral on social media.
Beat yourself
Participants compete only against their own personal best. Friendly to beginners — a challenge for everyone, not just top athletes.
Zone 2 discipline
Most time spent in a target heart-rate zone over a period. A direct fit for sports watch and heart-rate monitor sponsors.
Duathlon sprint
Bike plus run in one session with a transition. A niche but high-paying segment — people who own both cycling and running gear.
Team and relay — for clubs and corporate teams
Club vs club
Total kilometers/hours of the whole team over a month. More reach for the same prize budget than an individual format.
Club cup: multisport
A season-long team format — keeps engagement going all season, with team status on the line.
24-hour club relay
Athletes take turns running legs, covering a shared distance without a break. Spectacular, works well for broadcasting live progress.
Marathon relay
A team of 4–6 splits a marathon distance into legs. A ready-made mechanic for corporate team building.
Habit and engagement
30 days without a miss
A streak of consecutive active days. The longest-running retention mechanic — "habit equals brand loyalty."
The product team ships new formats fast — if your idea doesn't fit the palette above, let's talk.
Who this is for
A sports gear brand
Show your product in a real training context, not on a shelf. The prize is your product, not an abstract voucher.
A company HR team
Employee engagement and wellbeing — works even for a distributed team: no shared office needed, just a phone and the will to train.
A race organizer
Get future participants training right on the platform they already use — instead of a generic plan in a slide deck.
A local business
A small challenge for the local running community — a shop, a gym or a clinic, with a prize redeemable on the spot.
A charity
Turn participants' kilometers into funds raised: they run, your company donates.
If your case isn't listed above — tell us what you want the challenge to achieve, and we'll suggest a format.
How it works for you
You don't need to build or integrate anything. Once your challenge is set up, you get a dedicated, read-only sponsor dashboard.
Summary and status
The full state of your challenge on one screen, in real time.
Participants with contacts
A list of participants with email — to reach out and hand out prizes.
A live leaderboard
Standings update as activities come in from Garmin, Polar and other services.
An activity feed
Details of every participant's workout — charts, map, pace.
You don't administer the challenge or moderate results — that stays with the organizer and the platform. Your role is to watch what you supported unfold, and reach out to winners when it's time to hand out prizes.
Fair-play scoring
A real prize should go to a real result — here's how that's ensured.
Automatic scoring
Every workout is checked by rules for "physics": GPS track quality, matching the challenge's sport, near-duplicates, abnormal volume, signs of a vehicle or motor. The rule set adapts to the challenge type — a downhill is checked on a "personal record" challenge, but doesn't penalize a legitimate trail run on a "cumulative distance" one.
Human review
No workout is ever excluded automatically. Suspicious sessions go into a queue for a live referee to review — no one is penalized on an algorithm's suspicion alone.
Who reviews — your choice
Your own company representative can take the referee role for your challenge — full control over fair play in your own campaign. Or delegate it to the PaceTrack team.
Everything is logged
Every decision — who, when, which workout, what reason — is kept in an audit log. If a prize dispute comes up, you have a traceable history of the decision.
Why now
PaceTrack is a growing platform, and this is the moment to become one of the first partners: pick the format that fits your goal best, and work with us to figure out what works — before it becomes standard practice for dozens of brands.
